Anush Nikogosyan is an Armenian violinist who was born in 1989 in Yerevan and appeared first time with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra aged only 10 on stage of Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in e-moll.
Since then, she has made concert engagements in many important concert halls and festivals, among others: the Walt Disney Hall Los Angeles (USA), Mariinsky Theater Concert Hall St. Petersburg as part of "Stars of the White Nights" Festival - Artistic Director Valery Gergiev, Warsaw National Philharmonic Hall, Big Hall of Alten Oper Frankfurt, BASF Feierabendhaus Ludwigshafen, Allerheiligen Hofkirche München, Brucknerhaus Linz within the "Bruckner festival", Konzerthaus Klagenfurt, Opéra de Nice, Opera Bratislava, Qintai Concert Hall Wuhan (China), Rimini Meeting Festival, Ravello Music Festival, Emilia Romagna Music Festival and Festival della Nazioni in Italy.
As a soloist Anush Nikogosyan performed with numerous orchestras such as the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra in Yekaterinburg, the German Radiophilharmonie in Saarbrücken, the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Carinthian Symphony Orchestra, the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kaunas Chamber Orchestra, The National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, the Leopoldinum Chamber Orchestra in Wroclaw, the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra, the Neuss Chamber Academy Orchestra under the baton of Christoph Poppen, Dmitri Liss, Eduard Topchjan, Christopher Warren-Green, Leos Svarovski.
Anush Nikogosyan has been awarded a number of prestigious awards. In 2010 she won the highly esteemed International Wörthersee Kärntner Sparkasse Violin Competition (Austria). The chairman of competition Maestro Fabio Luisi further invited her to the "Pacific Music Festival" in Sapporo (Japan) to perform Tchaikovsky's violin concerto in D Dur.
In addition to classical repertoire, Anush Nikogosyan also performs the works by contemporary composers. Above all, it is important to her to present music of her homeland Armenia. Among the works of composers she performed it is important to mention those by Khachaturian, Mansurian, Baghdasaryan, Babajanyan, Mirzoyan and many others.
She started playing the violin at the age of 5. At the age of 11 she continued her education with the wellknown Armenian teacher Petros Haykazian. Afterwards she was a student of Eduard Topchjan at Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.
Further she studied in the class of Prof. Christoph Poppen at the University of Music and Theater Munich. From 2013 she continued her master-class studies with Prof. Julia Fischer, and graduated with distinction in 2015. In 2017 she completed her education at Munich Conservatory acquiring an Artist's Diploma.
She was a scholarship holder of the "Villa Musica Rheinland-Pfalz" Chamber Music Academy in 2012-2015. Since her 11th year she has been a scholarship holder of the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation, due to which she made many appearances at prestigious festivals worldwide, such as in Lithuania, Great Britain, France, Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Russia and USA.
As a chamber musician, she performed with famous musicians such as Julia Fischer, Kim Kashkashyan, Nils Mönkemeyer, Mario Brunello, Francois-Frederic Guy, Vag Papian, Radovan Vlatkovic, Vaclav Hudecek,Simon Trpceski, Vadym Kholodenko, Sergey Krylov, Alexander Chaushian and many others.
Anush has created the “Classics for All” concert series, which combines performances and conversations around classical music in one program. Besides, she is collaborating with the Armenian National Music Organization on a regular basis by making video recordings of the classical and rarely performed Armenian works.
Anush Nikogosyan lives in Munich and Yerevan.
She plays a Giovanni Baptista Guadagnini violin made in Milan in 1753.
